Objects become pages.

In Amazon S3, the HTML, style sheet and script are stored as objects. A website endpoint maps a request path to an object key and serves an index document for a directory.

What you configure

Select an index document, upload the assets and allow the intended website objects to be read. Public access is a deliberate choice for this disposable lab website.

What you observe

Request counts show usage. Latency describes the time S3 spends serving a request. Browser page-load time also includes the network and rendering work.

Check your understanding

An object key can include a nested path. Static JavaScript runs in the visitor’s browser. A website endpoint needs readable objects.
